Who we are
The Generation Quiz is a small, free web game made by George (GMV) together with his dad (CGV). It guesses which generation you belong to from a handful of playful questions. If you have a question about this policy, you can reach us through the site.
What we collect
Nothing personal. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no names, no email addresses and no payment details. We do not build profiles and we do not sell or share data with anyone.
The answers you tap during the quiz are held in your browser's memory only while you play. They are never sent to a server, and they disappear as soon as you close or reload the tab. Your result is calculated entirely on your own device.
Hosting and where data lives
The site is hosted and served exclusively on Lovable's infrastructure. There is no separate database, backend service or third-party host behind the quiz.
Like any web host, Lovable's servers may record standard technical request logs — such as an IP address, browser type and the time of a request — for security, abuse prevention and keeping the site running. We do not use those logs to identify you, and we do not receive or store them ourselves.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Generation Quiz sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracking of any kind.
The only browser storage the app may use is strictly necessary for it to function — for example remembering that you dismissed the "install as an app" prompt, and holding your in-progress quiz answers for the current session. This information stays on your device and is not readable by us.
Because there are no non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is shown and there are no cookie settings to configure. If you want to clear what the site has stored locally, you can do it any time from your browser: in Chrome or Edge open Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data; in Safari open Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data; in Firefox open Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data. Using private/incognito mode also discards everything when you close the window.
Sharing your result
The "Share result" button uses your own device's share sheet, or copies a link to your clipboard if your browser doesn't support sharing. A shared link points to a page such as /result/genz and contains only the name of a generation — never your answers or anything that identifies you.
What happens after you paste that link into another app (a messenger, a social network, an email) is governed by that app's own privacy policy, not ours.
External links and resources
The sparkles icon in the footer links to cosmicpixels.gr, which is a separate website with its own privacy policy.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch the font files. That request is handled by Google under their own privacy terms.
Children's Privacy
The Generation Quiz is family-friendly and is meant to be safe for players of any age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live).
There are no accounts to create, no profiles to fill in, no messaging or user-generated content, and no targeted advertising anywhere in the app. Because nothing personal is collected at all, there is nothing about a child stored by us.
If you are a parent or guardian and have any concern about your child's use of the quiz, please get in touch and we will help however we can.
Your rights and choices
Since we do not store personal data, there is no account to access, correct, export or delete on our side. Clearing your browser data removes everything the quiz kept locally, and uninstalling the app from your home screen removes it completely.
Changes to this policy
If how the quiz works ever changes, this page is updated and the "last updated" date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the quiz after an update means you accept the revised policy.
